# Bounded world owner — independent local implementation

Reproduce with Rust 1.98.1: check out RustMC/RustMC at cf5cac9742db9ae06625a1922bc63e57730c5f74, apply changes.patch, then run the commands listed in run.json with locked dependencies. This cumulative patch includes edit-overlay-01; do not apply it on top of that patch. Application against the clean public base was checked.

WorldOwner pins its original preview generator, privately owns immutable baselines,
limits loaded chunks, rejects unloaded/invalid edits, preserves accepted edits across
unloading, and returns detached revision-tagged snapshots. Six new tests this step;
14 cumulative new tests. Full workspace: 278 passed, 0 failed, 12 ignored fixtures.

The first workspace test attempt failed E0463 (missing compiled rustmc_tools).
After removing only that crate's build cache, the unchanged source passed all eight
checks. validation.txt retains the failure and successful retry. Receipt checks
represent the final successful attempts, not a claim that every attempt passed.

Not merged upstream. External submissions remain paused. Not connected to Java
preview; no multiplayer, networking, persistence, session authorization, reach or
collision validation is claimed. Snapshot revisions expose stale reads but do not
implement packet-cache invalidation. This owner is in-memory only.
